I opened my studio where my love for art, history and imagination could all take flight. I work out of my home studio in upstate New York creating accessories for my booths at Renaissance, Faerie, and Celtic Festivals. With the focus on accessories as wearable art, I have designed a very unique look that transform the wearer from function to Fancy. Each One-of-A-Kind creation brings it’s own enchanting finishing touch, all handcrafted with extra attention to every detail.
I have been creating for 30 years from painting, quilting, fabric dyeing, crewel, beadwork, and photography. My first four years as Something Else Studio were dedicated to designing/creating custom made renaissance wedding attire and headpieces.
I graduated from Eastern Michigan University with a Bachelors Degree in Fine Art with a focus on graphic design and drawing. My use of mixed media work painting, textiles, murals, photography, and plaster relief paintings on wood, all resulting in dimensional artwork. Some of my pieces become interactive as viewers open doors or press buttons to interact with the artwork.

I’ve been in business for over 50 years designing custom cabinatry and doing fine restoration work. Constructing furniture using exotic woods and finishes has made me a master carpenter and woodworker. I also designed and created the portable booth/building we have hauled around the country for several years. Our permanent building in Maryland has become my canvas as I continue to refine and update it. Now that I’m semi-retired I’ve decided to go miniature and build creations with my wife at Something Else Studio. Be sure to look for my Tudor Houses and wooden Pocket Mirrors.
